Dr. Debora Garcia Zalisnak is a board certified comprehensive ophthalmologist and cornea specialist. She is a graduate of the University of Puerto Rico where she received the honor of Summa Cum laude. After passing her medical boards and placing in the top 1% of the nation, she moved to Virginia to attend Eastern Virginia Medical School for her ophthalmology residency, serving her last year as chief resident. She then pursued a fellowship in cornea and external diseases of the eye at the University of Illinois at Chicago.
Dr. Garcia Zalisnak is experienced in treating diseases of the cornea and in performing complex cataract surgery, including laser cataract surgery and premium lens implants. She is a diplomate of the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the American Society of Cataract and Refractive Surgery as well as a member of the prestigious honor society, Alpha Omega Alpha. Dr. Garcia Zalisnak also received the honor of being named one of Phoenix Top Docs for 2021. She has published extensively on the subjects of dry eyes, keratoconus and corneal scarring, among others.
Dr. Garcia Zalisnak is originally from Puerto Rico and is fluent in both English and Spanish. She prides herself in being an advocate for her patients and when she is not seeing patients she enjoys spending time in the outdoors with her husband, son, daughter and two dogs.

Dr. Chrysanne Rinderknecht graduated from the University of Iowa College of Medicine. She went on to complete a Residency in Ophthalmology at the Kellogg Eye Center of the University of Michigan.
Dr. Rinderknecht is a licensed physician and has been practicing ophthalmology in the Sun City and Sun City West areas for over 20 years. She and her staff at Plaza Del Rio Eye Clinic are committed to providing the best possible medical and surgical eye care for her patients.
Dr. Rinderknecht specializes in the management of glaucoma, evaluation of retinal disorders such as macular degeneration, diabetic retinal examinations, treatment of dry eyes, and full complete medical eye examinations tailored to meet the needs of your eyes, so that you can enjoy the best vision possible.

Most patients new to our practice will be dilated. For our established patients, you may be dilated depending on the type of appointment that you have scheduled. Dilation can usually last up to 3-5 hours depending on the person.
